Yes i agree . The barn is a focal point along the the now very grassy north-eastern avenue . That avenue is now stopped with the motorway and all its fencing which unfortunately has divorced this wonderful barn from Castletown estate. The other great Castletown folly ,the Connolly Folly , has also got disconnected from the estate,an inevitable sign of change. This is a wonderful picture . Here it is a remnant but it is also reminder of the grand vision of an Irish 18th century parkland.

It is reported that the once common starling is reducing in numbers,so it is nice to see the starlings below voraciously pigging out on butter.
